Trina Harrison

Trina is a native North Carolinian with Northern European ancestry. Her formal education in psychology and nursing has given her strong observational and critical thinking skills. Additional training with the Racial Equity Institute, the Anne Braden Program, Indivisible, and White Awake have strengthened community organizing skills and deepened her understanding of inequities that are built deep into the very foundation of our culture. She believes white folks like herself have a world of joy and freedom on the other side of the struggle for the liberation of all peoples. When we learn this, when joy replaces fear, it changes everything. She enjoys coaching, facilitating, and creating programming to help us get there.

At home Trina spends time as an artist and gardener who enjoys engaging with the natural wonders around her. She is a partner to her spouse, Thomas, and sometime caregiver to family members. She is learning to lean into aging.
