Priskila Arulpragasam
Priskila Arulpragasam is a social worker who has spent nearly a decade walking alongside communities in Sri Lanka, Iceland, and the United States, always asking how advocacy can stay true to the people it serves. Her heart lives in the work of gender equity and sexual and reproductive health and rights, where she brings together grassroots organizing and a deep fluency in global policy.
Priskila is finishing her Master of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a focus on community, management, and policy practice. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Social Work in Colombo and a diploma in Gender Studies from the University of Iceland, braiding together social work, diplomacy, and feminist thought.
She has spoken as a civil society delegate at the UN Commission on the Status of Women, worked with UNFPA and FOS Feminista, and led organizational development for the Youth Advocacy Network Sri Lanka. As a Rotary Peace Fellow, she meets injustice with both clear thinking and real tenderness.
Above all, Priskila believes that bodily autonomy, dignity, and justice belong to everyone. Through art, training, and coalition building, she turns conviction into the kind of collective change that lasts.
